About the Artist-
Brian Stuart, like many professional artists, has been engaged in some form of creative pursuit from an early age. From the age of 11 he focused his artistic interests on figurative and portrait work in pencil and charcoal sketches, studying drawing & painting throughout high school.
After graduating from Loyola University in Chicago with a B.A. in History, Brian returned to his interest in the art field. He has studied at the American Academy of Art.
Focusing his career in the advertising field, Brian worked his way up from layout artist in the early 1980’s to hold various positions in management within the advertising and publishing fields.
Returning to the art of the portrait in recent years, he has studied intensively with various painters in the Chicago area. Brian J. Stuart resides in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago.
